  • Roger Phillips
    Roger Phillips Principal - CEO

    Roger has over 20 years of experience in the acquisition, development and management of multi-family and student housing properties throughout the U.S.

    Career highlights include:

    – Acquired, Developed and disposed of approximately $750 million in conventional and student housing real estate throughout the U.S.

    – Closed financings including tax-exempt bonds and conventional including Agency and HUD.

    – Worked for national student-housing firms including JPI and American Campus Communities and CLV(former Century Development)

    Roger holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Louisiana State University.

  • Sandy Phillips
    Sandy Phillips Principal of THP PM Group, LLC (Management)

    Sandy has over 20 years of multi-family and student housing property management experience. She has held positions with national student housing firms including Ambling Companies and Campus Living Villages.

    Career highlights include:

    – Current oversees an 8-asset portfolio valued at approximately $200M.

    – Spearheaded operational repositioning of multiple projects with values in excess of $200M.

    – Served in successive property management roles, from leasing agent to property manager of several multi-family and student housing assets.

    Sandy attended Louisiana State University and received a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Orleans. She is CAM Certified.

  • Bill Rose
    Bill Rose E.V.P. - Acquisitions I Principal - Texla Ventures

    Bill has 15 years of multi-family and student housing experience. He started his career with JPI Partners and held various roles in asset management, development and acquisitions. He also worked in the Dallas CBRE office and assisted clients with financing and dispositions. He has also held positions with AIMCO, SCI Investments and Bank of America.

    Career highlights include:

    – Involved in the acquisition of 10,000 beds at $350mm cost and 3,000 conventional multifamily units in Texas at $350mm cost.

    – Analysis of over $100 billion in asset value during career.

    – Experience includes all aspects of the real estate cycle including market research, underwriting, asset and portfolio management, and dispositions. During the course of his career he has successfully executed repositioning and value enhancement
    property-level business plans.

    Bill received a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University and an MBA in Finance from the University of North Texas.

    Richard started with Texla Housing Partners as the Assistant Manager at University Trails – Ole Miss in 2013. Some of his carrier highlights include:

    – Lead daily oversight of multiple assets with realizing significant improvement in rent collection and leasing.
    – Lead the staffing and operational takeover of multiple assets
    – As an Outreach Marketing Specialist he has experienced significant increases in leasing velocity

His natural abilities ranging from a strong understanding of the student life, to the core requirements needed to lead successful leasing campaigns has been a direct result to his consistent achievements and success in the industry.

    – Through strong leadership and market understanding, he has lead the leasing initiatives under his direction to achieve 100% occupancy success 4 years in a row.
    – With a consistent focus on the resident life expectations, he has continued to drive the retention focus of his campaigns to grow year over year increasing his 2017 campaign from prior year by 10%, achieving a market high of 45%.
    – Over the course of his career, he has developed his leadership to cultivate healthy & motivated teams that gave direct result to the success of his campaigns.
    – As the student housing market has evolved, he has taken a strong initiative in engaging the student culture by implementing the most relative programs, marketing materials, and setting the standard in resident functions.
